New generation Honda Civic Hatchback Prototype will make its debut at 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March; It will get an all-new 1.0L VTEC Turbo 3-cylinder petrol and 1.5L VTEC turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine.

Honda, the Japanese automaker will unveil an all-new Honda Civic hatchback at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March, 2016. Dubbed as 2016 Honda Civic Hatchback Prototype, the near production concept is likely to enter production towards the end of this year and will be launched in the European market in early 2017. Ahead of its global debut, images of the Civic prototype have been leaked on web-world (Courtesy- Carscoops).

The Honda Civic Hatchback Prototype comes with a sporty exterior and is equipped with several exciting elements that add to its sporty character. The front fascia of the hatchback features large air inlets, newly styled mesh grille, full LED headlamps and large air outlets. At the back, the hatchback gets C-shaped LED taillamps and two spoilers – roof mounted and bootlid mounted. The rear bumper comes equipped with an integrated diffuser. 2016 Honda Civic Hatchback leaked: Debut at Geneva Motor Show 2016
The vehicle will be launched in the European markets in 2017. The company will also launch the sedan version and the coupe version of this popular Civic brand. It will be offered with two petrol engines- 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO turbocharged 4-cylinder and a 1.0-litre VTEC turbocharged 3-cyinder unit. The oil burner will continue to be a 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine that also powers the Honda CR-V SUV and Honda HR-V.
The 2017 Honda Civic hatchback is expected to be equipped with several high end features including 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Adaptive Cruise control, road departure mitigation, etc. Interestingly, the ASEAN spec new Honda Civic sedan has already been revealed. Honda Cars India is expected to bring the new generation Civic in India in 2017.
